mini-review:
Prometheus (Ridley Scott, 2012)  3.5/4
During the beginning of the film I just kept saying, “can something happen please?” It all just felt very slow and like Scott had lost his touch to throw the audience into a story. Once the crew began exploring the planet, the film started to get really freaking good. Unfortunately the film is not atmospheric and as beautiful as the original but that world definitely transitioned well into the digital age. One style that stayed the same and was really great was the tension and terror that was brought across inside the pyramid. The characters were all amazing, I loved them. I feel like if an actor can make you hate them then they’ve done their job; this of course was Charlize Theron. Also, Michael Fassbender’s replicant was simply superb.
Overall the story was very well done and showed a thought provoking side of the journey that has frightened and captivated everyone for over 30 years.
